Fawad Alam, the left-handed opening batsman, has gotten so much potential and talent in him. Despite his talent, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has ignored him for so long amid which his career has been spoiled. Due to hid sound career and knocks in test, he deserves a place in team and many voices has been raised for him as he started working in Pakistan showbiz for earning and running expenses.

Recently, the present test skipper, Azhar Ali, has said that Fawad Alam is a part of our team and he will be considered as nobody is ignored until or unless fitness is a issue.

“I try to maintain consistency in selection. I prefer making a change only when a player is not feeling confident or is completely out of form. I don’t want to chop and change too much in the playing XI, so we tried to play with the same line-up in the last two series,” he added.

Last year, when Azhar became captain, Fawad was included in fifteen men squad but was neglected in playing XI. However, there were hopes of him being selected in the home series against Bangladesh but the series got called off amid the Coronavirus outbreak.

Azhar also praised Fawad’s hardwork and talent.

“Fawad Alam is a determined player. He is an example for youngsters. Despite being out of the team for so long, he continued his hard work and eventually made his way back into the team,” Azhar said on a local news channel. “He is currently part of our team and whenever he gets an opportunity, I am sure he will make it count and perform.”

The Coronavirus pandemic has halted every sports activity. Cricket is one of the major scenarios that have either been postponed or called off. Pakistan were having many matches, series, tours, and tournaments that were left undone. Once the situation gets well, PCB will reschedule all the postponed matches.
