ICC U19 Asia cup Pakistan vs India

Pakistan vs India U-19 Asia cup took place today on 7th September 2019 in Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. India was on a much better position as they won their first match against Kuwait. Whereas, for Pakistan, this was a must-win match.

First innings Of ICC U19 Asia Cup Pakistan vs India

India won the toss and elected to bat first. They gained 183 runs from their second-wicket partnership Arjun Azad and Tilak Varma giving India the platform they needed. Amir Ali and Mohammed Amir taking crucial wickets and breaking their partnership but the damage had been done.

Pakistani bowlers tried to break the momentum, Naseen Shah and Abbas Afridi both taking three wickets each. India set the target of 306 runs required run rate almost above six per over.

Second innings of Pakistan Vs India

Pakistan’s opening batsmen couldn’t settle in, although the partnership between Rohail Nazir and Haris Khan seemed promising, they managed to get 120 runs. After the fall of Nazir’s wicket, there was no hope left for the victory of Pakistan.

Indian bowler Atharva Ankolekar managed to get three wickets. While Vidyadhar Patil and Sushant Mishra got two each. Pakistani team was all bowled out in 245 runs. 

India winning the match by 60 runs. Arjun Azad declared the man of the match for scoring 121 runs and having the strike rate of 109.
