Indian speedster, Jasprit Bumrah, who has been slid down from World’s no.1 ODI bowler to the second spot in ICC ODI bowlers rankings after a horrendous performance and not getting a couple of wickets since his last few ODIs.
It has been an alarming sign for the speedster as he has gotten only a single wicket since many last ODI matches. Who knows what is becoming an obstacle in the ways of toe crusher for determination of outs.
New Zealand’s Trent Boult has become the man to snatch from Bumrah his no.1 ODI bowler spot despite the fact that Boult didn’t even play the ODI series recently held against India due to his hand injury.
Bumrah finished with 0 for 50 in 10 overs in the 3rd ODI on Tuesday while in the first two matches, he had figures of 0 for 64 and 0 for 53 respectively. Overall, he bowled 30 overs for 167 runs with 1 maiden to his name.
However, Indian star batsman, Virat Kohli has retained his spot of No.1 batsman in ODIs despite losing points and deliverance of poor performance against New Zealand with the bat. He is the No. 1 batsman in ODIs with 869 points. Rohit Sharma, who missed the ODI series with a calf injury, is at the 2nd spot with 855 points.
It is to be noted that Virat could score only 75 runs ahead of three Ind vs Nz ODIs played and it seems like that it was not captivating for him to perform in the absenteeism of Rohit Sharma and Shikar Dhawan.
