PCB to add more venues for PSL 2021

The fifth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) is all set to be entirely held in Pakistan this time as few of the matches from the last edition were held at UAE and Dubai.

The chief executive of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Wasim Khan has recently come up with an announcement that might be a reason for happiness for cricket freaks and patriots.

From the PSL 2021, more venues are to be added to the current venues where the league will be held. The game will now revolve around every possible city of the country to relish everyone from different cities just not staying limited to three or four main cities.

“By next year’s PSL, we want to be in a position to add a couple of more venues. We are looking to develop more and more venues which provide us an opportunity to take the game around the country” said the CEO of PCB.

Talking about adding an update to Hyderabad Stadium, Wasim said that they have started working on the project with Sindh Government. Stadiums like as of Faisalabad and Peshawar are to be added however along with Multan, the three stadiums have hosted National T20 Cup matches previously.

“For next year’s PSL we are looking at Peshawar, Multan & Faisalabad, which hosted the National T20 Cup and needs a little upgrade after which it can be an international venue, and Hyderabad, for which we are working with Sindh government for its upgrade,” said Wasim.

Nevertheless, Lahore is to host 13 matches, the highest number of matches. Karachi has got the authority of 9 matches, Rawalpindi of 8 and Multan of least, only 4 matches.

The league is to be kicked-off by 20th February 2020, with an astonishing ceremony.
