Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first. Sidra Ameen and Javeria Khan opened the innings for Pakistan. Bangladesh Women’s Jahanara Alam bowled opener Sidra Ameen on the last ball of the first over of the match. Jahanara Alam also dismissed Javeria Khan on 5 runs off 10 balls in her next over.
Pakistan Women were 2 down for 15 runs after 3 overs of the match. Pakistan’s captain Bismah Maroof and Umaima Sohail shared a 60 runs partnership which played a vital role in setting up a defendable total for their team. Captain Bismah Maroof scored 34 runs off 29 balls with the help of 5 fours. Bismah’s total of 34 runs was the highest individual score from Pakistan Women’s side in this T20I. Bangladesh’s Lata Mondal bowled Bismah in the 13th over of the match.

Shamima Sultana got stumped on Anam Amin’s first delivery of the innings. Shamima scored 4 runs off 6 balls. Ayesha Rahman got bowled by Diana Baig after scoring just 1 run off 3 balls.

Bangladesh finished on 112 runs for 7 wickets after 20 overs of the match. Anam Amin turned out to be the most successful bowler for her team after she claimed 2 wickets for just 13 runs. Aliya Riaz and Sadia Iqbal also got 1 wicket each in their 4 overs. Diana Baig, Kainat Imtiaz, and Captain Bismah Maroof also got 1 wicket each for their team.
Bismah Maroof was awarded the “Player of the Match” for her score of 34 runs and a wicket. Pakistan Women are now leading the three-match T20I series of Bangladesh’s tour of Pakistan by 1-0.
