The win ensured them their 11 match win-streak without a single defeat “again”. The only team that has a higher number of wins straight is Australia with a streak of 12 wins.

Afghanistan’s Pair of Zadran and Nabi also struck 7 sixes in 7 consecutive balls against Zimbabwe in the 16th and 17th over. A total of 42 runs on just 7 balls.

Najibullah Zadran went not out by hitting 69 runs off 30 balls by hitting 5 fours and 6 sixes, Mohammad Nabi scored 38 runs off 18 balls by hitting 4 sixes. The Afghanistan cricket team’s wicketkeeper-batsman and opener, Rahmanullah Gurbaz did an excellent job by providing Afghanistan with a sound start with his 43 runs off 24 balls with the help of 5 fours and 2 sixes.

As Afghanistan’s captain, Rashid Khan’s bowling made sure Zimbabwe cannot come anywhere close to the huge target of 198 runs with his amazing bowling. Rashid khan conceded only 29 runs and took 2 wickets in his 4 overs at the economy rate of just 7.25 per over.

Zimbabwe has played eight matches against Afghanistan and lost all of them. Zimbabwe’s Madziva and Regis Chakabva tried to push their collapsing team towards the target of 198 runs with their 45 runs partnership after Zimbabwe was reduced to 96/6 in the 14th over. Regis Chakbva remained the top-scorer with his 42 runs of 22 balls by hitting 3 fours and 2 sixes but it was not enough to bring Zimbabwe close to victory.

Najibullah Zadran of Afghanistan was named The Man of the Match.
