Deep Dasgupta, the former Indian cricketer, believes that Suresh Raina will surely play for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) after missing a few initial matches. After Raina has departed for India back to his suffering family, a controversial scenario has been created. It is also unsure if CSK will be picking his replacement or not.
It must be a huge blow for the Yellow Army after Harbhajan Singh has left in midway as well. Missing two senior players is indeed a massive hit and vacancy for other franchises to utilize it.
However, Dasgupta says he feels Raina will be back for playing and he won’t be surprised after CSK will not be picking a replacement.

“I have a feeling that Suresh Raina will be back playing the IPL. He might miss out on the first few games because of the quarantine rules and all but I have a feeling that Suresh will be back,” Dasgupta told ESPNCricinfo. “I won’t be surprised if they don’t pick a replacement for Suresh.”
“I’ve been training even while quarantining here. You never know you might see me in the camp there again,” Raina had recently said.
Presenting his opinion, Dasgupta added that Jalaj Saxena might be the perfect option for them as he would fulfill Harbhajan’s place too.
“As far as the replacement is concerned, there aren’t too many options. But I think Jalaj Saxena deserves a place, he’s a good enough all-rounder. I think they might look at him, he’s a very good option for Bhajji’s replacement,” Dasgupta added.
