Andre Fletcher and Rahkeem Cornwall came to bat for St Lucia Zouks. The Zouks did not have a very good start because both of their openers fell to Akeem Jordan in the first 3 overs of the game. Andre Fletcher scored 1 run and Rahkeem Cornwall made 5 runs before their wickets were taken by Akeem Jordan for St Kitts & Nevis Patriots.
The rest of St Lucia Zouks fell one after the other as the highest scorers from their side were Colin de Grandhomme and Hardus Viljoen. Colin de Grandhomme scored 30 runs off 22 balls with the help of 4 fours and a six while Hardus Viljoen scored 28 runs off 23 balls by hitting 4 fours.
Zouks’ captain, Darren Sammy was also not able to do much against the bowling attack of St Kitts & Nevis Patriots.

Akeem Jordan was one of the four changes to the St Kitts & Nevis Patriots XI and Akeem Jordan proved himself by taking 4 wickets on his debut of the Caribbean Premier League 2019. Akeem Jordan of St Kitts & Nevis Patriots took 3 out of his 4 wickets during the powerplay to make sure St Lucia Zouks cannot build up a good start at any cost.
St Kitts & Nevis Patriots came to bat and their wicketkeeper-batsman Devon Thomas got out on just 1 run in the 2nd over of the game. St Kitts & Nevis Patriots’ Evin Lewis played a very amazing inning of 65 runs for 30 balls by hitting 5 fours and 6 huge sixes to bring St Kitts & Nevis Patriots close to a sure win.
St Lucia Zouks’ Kavem Hodge was finally able to take the wicket of Evin Lewis who had been hitting the ball all over the ground but at that point in the game, St Kitts & Nevis Patriots only needed 21 runs off 54 balls to win the match.
Laurie Evans scored 19 runs off 18 balls and Mohammad Hafeez made 26 runs off 22 balls with the help of 3 fours in the favour of St Kitts & Nevis Patriots.

St Lucia Zouks’ Kavem Hodge, Fawad Ahmed, Kesrick Williams, and Obed McCoy took 1 wicket each for their team.
The player of the Match was awarded to the 24-year-old debutant Akeem Jordan of St Kitts & Nevis Patriots for his amazing 4 wickets that helped St Kitts & Nevis Patriots limit St Lucia Zouks to a low target of 139 runs. St Kitts & Nevis Patriots also ended their losing streak of 4 matches to move up to the 3rd place at the points table of CPL 2019.
