Shan Masood, Abid Ali score hundred as Pakistan takes charge of the game:

Pakistan started their day from 57/0 with Shan Masood and Abid Ali standing on the crease. The opening pair exceeded all expectations when they took a stand of 278 runs for the first wicket, which is the second-highest opening partnership for Pakistan in history.

The fascinating batting performances from Pakistan’s side were a treat to watch for the home crowd at National Stadium Karachi.

Shan Masood scored his 2nd Test hundred, both of them scored against Sri Lanka. On the other end, Abid Ali, the new star scored his 2nd Test hundred in his 2nd Test. He has done an exceptional job of proving everyone what a talented player he is.

Shan Masood scored his highest-ever 135 runs from 198 deliveries with 7 fours and 3 sixes, while Abid Ali played a beautiful inning of 174 runs from 281 balls with 21 fours and a six. Lahiru Kumara was the Sri Lankan bowler who claimed the only 2 wickets for Sri Lanka on Day 3 of the 2nd Test.

Sri Lanka vs Pakistan, Pakistan leads by 315 runs:

Pakistan is standing at their highest Test total in the past 12 months of 395/2. After losing Shan Masood and Abid Ali, Pakistan skipper Azhar Ali and Babar Azam took the reins in their hands till the end of the day.

Azhar Ali scored his 32nd Test fifty and is currently not out on 57 runs from 103 balls, the highest individual score in his past 13 innings. Azhar Ali would likely look towards making it to the triple digits, while Pakistan’s best batsman Babar Azam is also at the crease with 22 runs on 42 deliveries.

Pakistan will resume their batting against Sri Lanka from 395/2 on Day 4 of the 2nd Test.
