India’s pacer, S. Sreesanth, was live with Crictracker in an Instagram session, where revising the memories of the T20 World Cup 2007 final against Pakistan, he revealed that the catch of Afridi was the toughest he ever did in his career.

Terming Afridi’s catch as the toughest of his career, he revised Irfan Pathan told him that Afridi will be hitting for a six and the ball will be coming towards long-off. When the ball was in the air, Sreesanth caught it hardly.

The player revealed MS Dhoni terms Misbah’s wicket as the toughest but when coming towards Misbah’s wicket, he was not even thinking of getting him out.

“Coming to Misbah’s wicket, I was thinking to dive right or left and stop the ball so that Misbah will not take two runs. I wasn’t even thinking of catching the ball,” he said.

“Even Dhoni Bhai said in an interview that it (Misbah’s catch) was one of the most pressurised catches in Indian cricket history. But, for me, Afridi’s catch in that game is the most pressurised catch in my career.”

For me, Afridi’s catch was the toughest. Pathan told me that ‘Afridi will surely try to hit me for a six, the ball will come towards long-off and he will get out on the first ball, tu pakad Lena’. He saw that wicket happening, he was literally having Afridi’s wicket many times. Luckily ball went up in the air, and I caught it,” he said.
