Sarfaraz Ahmad and Kamran Akmal are two terrific wicket-keeping batsmen of Pakistan who got kicked out of the squad because of their poor form. The convincing batting by the duo and retained form have inspired PCB and the management. It seems like they have worked on their fitness and batting tricks to make their place in ICC T20 World Cup squad.
Rashid Latif, the former Pakistani skipper, feels that Sarfaraz Ahmad and Kamran Akmal are once again capable for being selected in T20 squads.
Sarfaraz, ahead of Australia’s tour in 2019, was dropped off from all formats as a player and as captain as well. However, Kamran Akmal wore his jersey last time in 2017 against West Indies. Both of them have tried their level best on account of future selection is squads. The performance in domestic and PSL was visible by the duo.
Kamran, who blistered runs like a machine playing for Peshawar Zalmi in PSL, smashed 251 runs in 2020 season whereas, Sarfaraz clicked 148 runs for Quetta Gladiators.
Rashid Latif added that Rizwan shall be selected as a priority for the wicket-keeping position for ODIs.
“Mohammad Rizwan is the perfect wicketkeeper for Tests and ODIs, Sarfaraz Ahmed and Kamran Akmal are fit for the T20 [team],” Latif was quoted as saying by Ary Sports.
