The aggressive right-handed Indian batsman, Suresh Raina, says that Rohit Sharma is another MS Dhoni for Team India.
MS Dhoni, who needs no introduction, is known to be the calmest captain who knows the tricks to deal with his players and to dig most out of his players.
Raina, praising Sharma’s calming skills, compares him to Dhoni. He uttered that Rohit Sharma who is the most successful IPL captain, and he does not see anyone like an ordinary player, instead everyone in the team is the skipper.

“I would say he is the next MS Dhoni for the Indian cricket team,” Raina said on The Super Over Podcast. “I have seen him, he is calm, he likes to listen, he likes to give confidence to the players and on top of that, he likes to lead from the front. When the captain leads from the front and at the same time, he gives respect to the dressing room atmosphere, you know you have it all.”
“He thinks everyone is a captain. I have seen him; I have played under him when we won the Asia Cup in Bangladesh. I have seen how he gives confidence to young players like Shardul Thakur, Washington Sundar, and Yuzvendra Chahal of course.”
“Around him, players enjoy the intensity, they enjoy his aura. I think when you enjoy the aura of a player, you like to be positive and I think that is what he is good at.”
However, the topic of MS Dhoni’s retirement has been trending for a few months. It seems like his own nation has stood against him and wants him to retire. MS Dhoni has served India Cricket for so long, and he, no doubt, deserves a farewell with dignity. A few are of the thoughts that if he has not taken part in international cricket since ICC World Cup 2019 and has been on the gap for this much longer, he shall think about retirement.
However, a few believe that it is totally up to Dhoni whether to come back or not. He thought that after performing in the cash-rich league, he would make a comeback on behalf of his T20 league’s performance.
