Pakistan‘s captain of all three formats, Babar Azam, is looking forward to captain the Men in Green in the test matches against South Africa. Pak vs SA test matches are going to be Babar’s first task as the captain of the red-ball format in the home ground. However, the upcoming New Zealand vs Pakistan matches are his first test matches as a captain in any foreign country.
The guest team will reach Pakistan in early January and as per the COVID-19 rules, they will be quarantined for almost two weeks. The two teams will face each other in late January in two test matches that will be followed by a three-match T20I series.
Recently, Babar captained his first ODI against Zimbabwe as the two teams played a three-match series ending in Pakistan’s favor and he is yet to lead the side in the home ODI series. The skipper looks super excited to captain all three formats. Also, the upcoming tests against South Africa will be his first task

“I am delighted that South Africa have confirmed their tour to Pakistan and look forward to captaining my country for the first time in a home Test at a venue where we recently won our maiden Pakistan Super League title,” Babar said in a statement released by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
As international cricket is back to Pakistan, Azam is delighted to host many countries in 2021.
“Looking at the calendar of international cricket in 2021, I am pleased we are playing more against the sides which are ranked above us. This is critical to not only our learning and development but also an opportunity to improve our rankings across all formats,” he added.
