Mohammad Hafeez has become the second Pakistani batsman to cross 2000 T20I runs and third Pakistani eventually. Notably, the skipper of the Pakistan Women Cricket Team, Bismah Maroof, is the first Pakistani to reach the milestone. After her, Shoaib Malik became the second Pakistani and first Pakistani batsman to touch the feat.

Hafeez, who featured in T20Is back in 2006, took 14 years to reach the point. Playing 93 matches and 89 innings have finally dragged him to 2000 T20I runs. He is also the player to have fifty wickets along with it which makes him the only cricketer to do so.
