Imad Wasim, the talented Pakistani all-rounder for the shorter format, has expressed his wish to see Pakistan Cricket Team in top 3 ICC rankings in all three formats.

Recently, Pakistan Cricket is suffering badly as they get dropped from the first spot to the fourth position as their twenty-seven months-long streak of being on the first spot came to an end. Men in green rank seventh and sixth in test and ODI respectively.

Imad is eagerly waiting to return to cricket as the sports scenarios in Pakistan have been badly interrupted. It must not be easy going for the players to stay without games

“I am very eager to be back on the cricket field. It has been a long time, not only for us but for all sportspersons. They all want to play their sport and want to get back on the field,” the Dawn quoted Imad as saying.

He maintains how every cricket player is waiting for cricket to resume and told that they are ready to play with or without spectators.

“Obviously, for cricket and cricketers it is a very important tour, you are getting back to your life and routine which is very important. The thing is, every cricketer wants to play, whether closed doors or with crowds,” he added.

Discussing T20Is first, Imad Wasim wants Pakistan to re-occupy the first spot and later on mentioned the other two formats as well. Discussing his personal goals, he wants to improve his ranking as a bowler and as an all-rounder.

“We want to regain our top position in T20s. I want to see Pakistan among the top three ranked sides in all formats. My personal goal is to perform well and improve my ranking as a bowler and as an all-rounder. But winning the series is more important because England is one of the world’s best sides,” he said.
