England Women defeat Pakistan Women in 2nd ODI

England Women secure series victory after defeating Pakistan in 2nd ODI:

England Women amassed a massive total of 327 runs at the cost of 4 wickets while batting first. Pakistan Women crumbled on just 200 runs as England Women won the 2nd ODI by a margin of 127 runs.

England won the toss and elected to bat first. They lost their first wicket in the 2nd over of the match, while Tammy Beaumont also lost his wicket after scoring just 21 runs for 38 deliveries in the 14th over. England Women recovered from their start as their skipper Heather Knight and Natalie Sciver shared a partnership of 84 runs.

Heather Knight scored 86 runs from 100 deliveries before getting run out by Sidra Ameen. Wicketkeeper-batsman Amy Jones added 17 runs from 22 balls before getting lbw by Nida Dar. Natalie Sciver and Fran Wilson shared an unbeaten partnership of 146 runs. Natalie Sciver scored her 3rd ODI hundred on 85 deliveries, while Fran Wilson played an explosive inning towards the end. Fran Wilson smacked 85 runs from 49 balls with the help of 8 fours and 3 sixes, while remaining not out.

Nida Dar claimed 2 wickets for 67 runs in her 9 overs, while Nashra Sandhu secured 1 wicket for 56 runs in her 10 overs.

England Women win the 2nd ODI as Pakistan Women bundle out on 200:

Against the overwhelming target of 328 runs, Pakistan Women failed to take a proper stand. Nahida Khan scored 40 runs from 43 balls, and skipper Bismah Maroof remained the top-scorer from her side after she scored 64 runs from 65 deliveries. Javeria Khan added 26 runs from 37 balls, while Sidra Nawaz contributed only 16 runs before getting caught behind.

Pakistan lost all its wickets on 200 runs. Heather Knight claimed 2 wickets for 33 runs in her 5 overs. Sophie Ecclestone, Sarah Glenn, and Anya Shrubsole also took 2 wickets each against Pakistan, while Kate Cross secured 1 wicket for 21 runs.

Heather Knight was named the “Player of the Match” for her outstanding all-round performance. Pakistan Women will face England Women in the 3rd ODI on December 14.
