Pakistan have found the hosts England so harsh on them in the third Southampton test. England have crossed a massive margin of 560 runs and still got wickets in their hands. With the middle-order batsman and the finisher on the strike, they have got a supreme legacy playing only a single inning. Zak Crawley’s 267 (393) and Joss Buttler’s 152 (311) have challenged Pakistani batsmen and it is going to be tough on them.
Undoubtedly, it would not be or so hardly chased by Pakistan or at least the lead will not be maintained. Asad Shafiq and Azhar Ali being the senior players of the team are under hot waters amidst their poor form since the last few innings. The Green hopes are almost dead with the passing times as the hosts have maintained momentum with the bat and are aggressively shaking the ground with some tremendous knocks.
Pakistan started well with wonderful first innings of the first test but it went vacant as Jos Buttler and Chris Woakes added their match-snatching partnership. However, the second match ended with a draw but the conditions were not in Men in green’s favor. The series bent to England with 1-0 or else it would already have been 2-0 if rain draw was not the scenario for the second Southampton test.
England’s 580+ is a new challenge for Pakistan to face
Pakistani bowlers seem to be in a poor form lacking varieties and yet not grabbing wickets. Yasir and Shaheen’s early wickets of the openers at Lunch of Day 1 established some hopes but later, the bowlers were deprived of wickets.
The fans are now remaining with zero hopes as the inconsistent batting-line up of the guests would hardly be maintaining a decent lead. Lead far away, even to chase 600+ is going to be more than challenging as the side already seems pressurized under the new management, so many inexperienced lads against one of the strongest cricket teams ever.
England have finally declared as of now, they have found their score pretty much stable not to be easily chased.
