Dawid Malan has achieved an outstanding milestone of attaining the highest ever T20I ranking points in the history of Twenty-Twenty Cricket. As reported by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday, no batsmen in the T20I history have attained the T20I ranking points comparable to England’s Malan.
The 33-year-old has secured 915 points as shown by the global cricket governing body in a press release. Currently, he is the number one T20I batsman as he recently has surpassed Pakistan’s Babar Azam who slid down to the second spot.
Malan, who enjoys a 44-point lead over Babar, also enjoys the highest batting average in the men’s T20I cricket of 53.43 (min: 500 runs). The second and third in the list are Babar and Virat Kohli respectively with the averages of 50.93 and 50.80.

Notably, Australia’s Aaron Finch was the only batsman to reach 900 rating points. No one in the ICC T20I history has crossed a mark of 900 rating points but Malan made it possible.
He has made his debut three years ago in 2017 and has bloomed as a star player for England. Shockingly, Malan took less than twenty innings to be the number one T20I batsman. Also, his team England have taken the first position from Australia and now are the number one T20I team after beating South Africa by 0-3.
