Afghanistan bowler Noor Ahmad resorted to mankading in the 27th over of the Quarter-Final of the U19 World Cup. Noor Ahmad dismissed Mohammad Huraira who had scored 64 runs from 76 deliveries as Pakistan steadily moved towards their target of 190 runs.
Mohammad Huraira had been leading the charge for Pakistan in their chase for victory and a ticket to the Semi-Finals of the U19 World Cup. Noor Ahmad removed the bails from the non-striker’s end before delivering the next ball when Mohammad Huraira stepped out of the crease.

England’s Jos Buttler is one other batsman who has been mankaded, not once but twice during his career. The first time he was mankaded was against Sri Lanka in an ODI in 2014 and the second time it was during the Indian Premier League (IPL) match by Kings XI Punjab’s Ravichandran Ashwin.
Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) has declared this method of dismissing the batsman as “against the spirit of cricket”.
