The Coronavirus has brought the whole world a stand-still. The world of sports especially cricket has been badly affected. The Indian Premier League (IPL), one of the richest T20 league, has also been postponed along with the cricket on international forums.
It is to be clarified that IPL was to be kicked-off from March 19th but, Sourav Ganguly while addressing in a conference denounced that,
“It will happen, because if it is April 15, then, in any case, 15 days are gone, it has to be truncated. How truncated, how many games, I can’t say at the moment.”
The months will have to go vacant for the freaks if there will be no cricket after the termination of ongoing PSL. A freak on twitter has suggested a brilliant idea to reschedule IPL which Brad Hogg, the Aussie leg-spinner liked and even passed it onto the Sourav Ganguly who is the president of the Board of Control for Cricket India (BCCI).
“Hi, Brad. Would you be comfortable with an IPL format based on the Women’s T20 WC one. 2 groups, 4 teams in each. Top 2 from each play SF & then, Final. Do away with the home-away format & limit the no. of venues. Would be better logistically too & you can get a fair tournament” he suggested.

Passing it onto the Sourav, Brad tweeted,
“To Ganguly & #BCCI @d_moinak has a great solution for #IPL time-poor scenario. 2 groups of 4 each play in one region, reducing travel requirements, with 2 semi-finals and a final played at a different venue from group stages. Saves logistics & minimizes health risks.

To take a note, the IndvsSA series has also been called off due to Coronavirus threats. Earlier, it was denounced to avoid handshake with each other and compensate it with the band fists but, the rising fears of the Coronavirus have left every field in the hot waters.
