Riki Wessels scored 31 runs off 34 balls while Worcestershire’s captain Moeen Ali remained top-scorer from Worcestershire with his 32 runs off 26 balls with the help of 3 fours and 2 sixes against Essex.

Essex’s all-rounder Ravi Bopara who played a match-winning innings today was very excited and said it is the one trophy Essex did not have in their cabinet. Ravi Bopara further said that he has won everything else with Essex and this was the one he was desperate for.
Worcestershire’s captain Moeen Ali said about the final that he was disappointed with the result but not with the performance of his team. Moeen Ali said about Ravi Bopara of Essex that in his opinion, Ravi Bopara won Essex the game.
