Beginning with the perfect over, Amir got two wickets trapping Zalmi’s batsmen into his pace varieties on the new and shiny pitch. The situation pressurized the Peshawar Zalmi as Karachi Kings’ Amir struck.
The three men picked up by Karachi Kings restricted Zalmi blowing up three wickets magnificently in the first six overs.
Trapping Tom Banton and then Haider Ali in the initiations created a way to pressurize the opponents and the sensational spell from Amir enhanced the confidence in the Kings.
Later on, in a shorter while, the opening partner of Tom, Kamran Akmal lost his wicket earlier as Aamer Yamin got over him or else if Akmal would have gone for a total of 47, he would have become the first man to score 500 PSL runs.
It was Shoaib Malik in mid-overs who settled the score along with Livingstone and Gregory. Malik added 68 to achieve a total of 151 declaring a chase of 152 for Karachi Kings although the total doesn’t sound so good.
It is to be noted that the speedster Amir has grabbed four wickets conceding 25 runs in 4 overs. Aamer Yamin has been absolutely beautiful with a fine economy of 5.50 picking up a single wicket. Umer, the spinner, did not seem to be in working form as he conceded 44 runs by Sammy’s side going for a mono wicket.
Karachi Kings have been tremendous in the field today especially Babar Azam on-field and Amir with the ball. Judging the conditions of the pitch, Kings could easily chase as the target is below average on a good pitch for the bat that can give runs around 170-180 easily.
