ISLUvsKK: Karachi Kings gain pace with the top four sides

ISL vs KAR: Karachi Kings have finished off the match in a smashing style against two times PSL champions, Islamabad United, as the skipper Imad Wasim went for a massive six at Rawalpindi Stadium on Sunday.

The two consecutive sixes in the end to Faheem’s short balls destroyed the game for United as Imad threw the ball high and pulled it over the mid-wicket.

Saying actual, it was medium-pacer Faheem’s high economy that has led Kings towards the victory or else game would have been headed by the United once again. His short balls were in actual the game changing moments as in the end too, his styles were demolished with the ball pulled off high crossing the boundary.

The expectations of Kings always rise from the master of the cover drives, Babar Azam, but the perfect run-out by the skipper Shadab sent those expectations to vacancy. Later, Sharjeel Khan and Cameron Delport stuck to the strike to add a boost in the bigger chase and after they were picked up by United’s attacking field, once for a moment it seemed to KK fans that the game might be handed over to the opponents again. Also, Alex Hales played his role in ISLUvsKK wisely in the chase but was trapped later after knocking a half century to United’s face with some sixes and fours.

Kings have finally gone for their second victory of PSL 5 as they have been defeated in 2 out of 4 held before. The side considered as explosive and dangerous with the bat, began with a great knock of 201 and declared a win over Sammy’s side on 21st February. Afterwards, it seems like they were possessed by the Qalandars, the only team with the consecutive defeats in the league.

However, in ISLUvsKk match, Kings somehow managed to defeat United. It is to be noted that that out of 11 held matches between Islamabad and Karachi Kings, Kings have defeated United 3 times as Shadab’s side have been leading over them for the rest of the times.

Shadab being skipper of ISLU, has come forward with clearly visible batting improvements as he along with Ronchi held the key to set-up a magnificent target of 184 for Imad Wasim’s leading side.

It is to be notify that despite of the win, Kings have retained their 5th spot on the standings as United have gotten better stats than them.
