All top-four batsmen score centuries for Pakistan:
Sri Lanka vs Pakistan, The home side kept up their wonderful batting from Day 3 as Pakistan’s skipper Azhar Ali and Babar Azam scored their centuries, while Naseem Shah led the bowling attack to bring his team only 3 wickets away from a historic victory in National Stadium Karachi.
It was only the second time in history that all top 4 batsmen of a team scored hundreds, the first time being India vs Bangladesh in Dhaka, 2007.
It was Azhar Ali’s 16th Test hundred and his only 40+ score in his last 14 innings since his last century against New Zealand in December 2018. He made 118 runs from 157 balls before getting stumped on Lasith Embuldeniya’s delivery.

Babar Azam, once again, displayed what a talent he is, and this time he did so in front of his home crowd. Babar Azam scored his 4th Test hundred of his Test career, all of them scored in his last 6 Tests. It was his 2nd consecutive hundred after his ton in Rawalpindi Test, but it would have been his 4th consecutive one if he did not miss his century by 3 runs in Adelaide Test against Australia. Pakistan declared their inning of 555/3 after Babar’s hundred.
Sri Lanka vs Pakistan, Oshada Fernando and Niroshan Dickwella made sure Sri Lanka survives for another day:
In the chase for a target of 476, Sri Lanka struggled from the get-go as they lost 5 wickets for just 97 runs. Oshada Fernando and wicketkeeper-batsman Niroshan Dickwella shared a 104 runs partnership to bring their team’s total to 201. Niroshan Dickwella celebrated his 14th Test half-century and scored 65 runs from 56 balls.
Oshada Fernando scored his maiden Test hundred and finished the day on an unbeaten 102 for 175 balls. Sri Lanka finished on 212/7 at the end of Day 4 of the 2nd Test. Naseem Shah claimed 3 wickets, while Shaheen Shah Afridi, Mohammad Abbas, Yasir Shah, and Haris Sohail took 1 wicket each in Sri Lanka vs Pakistan 2nd Test.
