The Guyana Amazon Warriors won the toss and decided to bat first against the Tallawahs. The Amazon Warriors lost 2 wickets to Oshane Thomas in the first over of the match. The Amazon Warriors lost Chandrapaul Hemraj and the Amazon wicketkeeper Nicholas Pooran in the first 2 balls of the 2nd over as well. Guyana Amazon Warriors went from 8/0 to 8/4 as they lost 4 wickets in 4 consecutive balls.
At the moment, it looked as if the Amazon’s unbeaten streak was finally going to be broken by the hands of a team that could not even make up to the playoffs.
