The all-rounder Shoaib Malik has joined the Pakistan squad in Southampton on 15th August ahead for England’s three-match T20I series starting from 28th August.
Malik was earlier all set to depart for joining Pakistan’s squad but his visit was delayed as he was struck in the neighboring country, India, amidst the lockdown with his family.
The player earlier spent his time in Sialkot amidst the international lockdown and delay in flights due to the Coronavirus. Then, he left for India where he got stuck and finally became eligible to join the squad on India’s independence day. The Player’s departure arrangements were already under consideration as earlier, he was expected to leave on 12th August.
It is to be noted after Malik has joined the team, youngster Musa Khan will be released from the 29-men-squad.

On the contrary, the rest of the players have started enjoying every bit of Pakistan cricket that started on 5th August against the home-siders, England at Old Trafford but despite their hard work in the first innings of the first test, the match was snatched from them as Woakes and Buttler added their match-winning partnership.
England’s drizzle was another major obstacle that delayed and finally called off the second test match between the sides.
The sides will be seen in action for T20I series behind closed doors on the mentioned dates below:
28 Aug – 1st T20I, Old Trafford
30 Aug – 2nd T20I, Old Trafford
1 Sep – 3rd T20I, Old Trafford
However, one of the three test matches is still remaining that will decide the fate if England will whitewash Pakistan by 2-0 or the series would be leveled by 1-1.
