Saeed Ajmal, the former Pakistani leg-spinner does not have any expectation from Pakistan Cricket Team and he says that he will be astonished if Pakistan wins a single game against England.
Saeed Ajmal: I would be surprised if Pakistan wins even one test against England
He thinks because of the vast variety of youngsters, it is almost impossible for Pakistan to win the series.
“Pakistan team consists of young players, the England series will be difficult for them. It does not seem possible for Pakistan to win the series,” Ajmal said.
Saeed has termed Pakistan’s victory as a miracle if it happens in the near future.
“It would be a miracle if Pakistan even wins one match. As a Pakistani, I pray that the national team performs well in the series,” he added.
He has backed his fellowmen and thinks that youngsters can learn a lot from Misbah, Younis, Waqar, and Mushtaq.
“Younis Khan’s presence in the dressing room will be helpful for the batsmen. Young players will learn a lot from Misbah-ul-Haq, Younis Khan, Waqar Younis and Mushtaq Ahmed on the tour,” he maintained.
The former leg-spinner is against the idea of holding cricket matches without spectators and seems the game as ‘boring’.
“Cricket without spectators would be like a deaf cricket match. This would make the game boring than ever and even the players wouldn’t like it,” Saeed Ajmal added.
“Behind closed-door rule will work in England but there will be difficulties in countries like Dubai and Pakistan. Authorities should allow a limited number of fans. For example, 1,000 people in a venue with a capacity of 10,000,” he maintained.
It is to be noted that team Pakistan has reached England to play three tests matches and three T20Is against England.
