Peshawar Zalmi coach, Darren Sammy is to miss the fifth version of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 2020) amidst logistical issues. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed his unavailability and reminded that all arrangements were made superiorly.
As a replacement, Sohaib Maqsood has been added to Zalmi’s squad as their coach is unable to reach Karachi in the due time. An unknown source revealed that he was to travel via the UK but travel restrictions, being a hurdle, did not let it happen. Also, his next target was to fly via the US but it did not happen either amidst some visa issues.
Notably, Sammy is the most loved foreign cricketer in Pakistan. As the fans adore his affection with the Men in Green’s homeland, they will be missing their ideal star in the playoffs and termination stages of the PSL 2020.

On the other hand, Mitchell McClenaghan of the Karachi Kings (KK) is also to miss the Qualifier round. The Kings’ family has chosen South African Wayne Parnell as New Zealand’s McClenaghan replacement. As New Zealand health’s guidelines following Coronavirus’s protection are highly followed, the player was supposed to be in quarantine for fourteen days after his flight back from IPL to New Zealand.
Another unnamed player from the Kings’ squad has been COVID-19 positive and is sent under isolation for fourteen days. However, no replacement has been named yet.
Notably, Multan Sultans are scheduled to play the Qualifier round with Kings on 14th November, and on the same date, the Zalmi men and Lahore Qalandars will be featuring for the Eliminator 1.
