Pakistan’s limited-overs captain, Babar Azam, is likely to get a massive addition in his already assigned tasks as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is reportedly to elect Babar as the captain for the red-ball format until the World Cup 2021 in India.

The announcement will be shortly posted when the squads for New Zealand will be finalized on screen. The chairman of the national board, Ehsan Mani’s approval is awaited before any official announcement. As Azhar Ali has been miserable in the recent many Test series, the board is likely to sack him and inform him before the hands.

Azhar’s performance, from the last few innings, has not been incredible and encouraging. Being the senior-most player of the current Test team, it was recognized his duty to boost the team scoring big. Before Pakistan vs England three-match test series, his last eighteen consecutive Test games were inferior, and the masses do not want him to proceed as a skipper. Even a few demanded retirement and sacking him as a player.

The reports are declaring a hint at his removal; however, no news is circulated officially. Also, Azhar himself has declared that he is unaware of his removal.

The New Zealand series will be Babar’s first task as the Test skipper. Notably, he has led the team in a three-match ODI series recently played against Zimbabwe in which the Men in green have succeeded by 2-1. It was his first assignment as the ODI skipper.

The batting sensation was appointed as the skipper for the T20I format last year after Sarfaraz Ahmed was sacked off from the leading of all formats. In the upcoming days, Babar was also chosen as the ODI skipper.
