Notably, the entire PSL 5 was held in Pakistan for the inaugural time. As the Coronavirus spread rapidly in Pakistan, a few matches were also organized behind closed doors and the league was shortly postponed when it was only left with the playoffs and the final.

The league matches took place in February and March whereas the playoffs and the final have been played in November.
