Pakistan’s captain Umair Warraich said after winning the final: “It is a huge opportunity just to feel that type of environment which only elite sportspeople tend to feel, and it was great fun.
“It was really important for us not to get too caught up in the moment and just focus on the brand of cricket which we have been playing and luckily for us we were able to do that.
“It’s a great honor to represent Pakistan in any capacity but to do that in cricket is such a great feeling and hopefully it will encourage more and more people to come and attend the trials and want to also represent Pakistan and eventually help to promote the game of cricket.”
