Pakistan’s T20I and ODI squads announced for series against England:
Pakistan announced its Women’s ODI and T20I squads for their upcoming against England in Kuala Lumpur. The two teams will face each other in three matches, which are part of ICC Women’s Championship’s seventh-round fixture in Malaysia next month. The 3-match series will provide Pakistan Women with the opportunity to make it to the top 4 and secure a direct invite to the ICC Women’s World Cup New Zealand in 2021.
The series includes 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is against England, and Pakistan Women will depart for Malaysia on November 30. The 1st ODI of the series will take place on December 9, while the 1st T20I will take place on December 17.
Sana Mir, who recently took a break from international cricket for an indefinite period to think for her future, was not named in any squad. Iram Javed, Kainat Imtiaz, and Sadia Iqbal were also not named in any squad.
Rameen and Kaynat earned maiden call-ups to the ODI squad for England series:
Off-spinner Rameen Shamim and batsman Kaynat Hafeez earned their maiden call-ups to Pakistan’s Women’s ODI squad. Aman Amin was also recalled for both squads, along with Nida Dar, who returned after a stint with Sydney Thunder in the Women’s Big Bash League.
The 15-year-old Aroob Shah was also earned a maiden call-up for the T20I squad, based on her outstanding ODI debut against Bangladesh in home series.
