The head coach-cum-chief selector of the Pakistan Cricket Team, Misbah ul Haq, is not satisfied with the latest coaching roles granted to some former cricketers for the High-Performance Center (HPC) restructuring the domestic cricket from the recent perspective.
According to the reports, the roles have been granted without his accreditation. It is the utmost duty of the PCB to consult the relative authorities and to take concern of the related members before appointing the mega-duties.
PCB has included the former cricketers, Basit Ali, Abdul Razzaq, and Faisal Iqbal in the provincial coaching panels for the 2020-21 domestic season.
Humayun Farhat, Imran Fazil, Ghulam Ali, Shahid Anwar, and Zafar Iqbal have also been confirmed as cricket associations for the upcoming domestic season.
Misbah not pleased with the latest HPC roles
Retained coaches: Abdul Rehman, Akram Raza, Bilal Ahmed, Fahad Akram, Hussain Khosa, Iqbal Imam, Kamran Khan, Mazhar Dinari, Mohammad Masroor, Mohammad Wasim, Rafatullah Mohmand, Saeed Anwar Junior, Sajjad Akbar, Samiullah Niazi, Saqib Faqir, Shahid Anwar, Shoaib Khan, Tahir Mahmood, Tanvir Shaukat, Wasim Haider and Zahoor Elahi
It is to be noted that NHPC was restructured as a part of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). It united the National Cricket Academy (NCA) along with its subcategories of the domestic cricket is expected to uplift the domestic cricket in Pakistan.
Mohammad Yousuf, Atiq uz Zaman, and Mohammad Zahid are eligible to make regular foreign tours with the senior and junior cricket teams.
However, overburdened Misbah ul Haq with three massive duties of the PCB is likely to be removed as a chief selector. According to reliable reports, the step would be taken to ease his burden so the remaining duties could be efficiently performed by the man.
The former Pakistani pacer is likely to replace Misbah and will be selecting the players on behalf of the national team. However, the name has not been unclouded yet and the formal announcement is yet to be made.
