Jasprit Bumrah, Shikhar Dhawan back in India squad:
Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah and opener Shikhar Dhawan are back in India’s limited-overs squad for their upcoming home series against Sri Lanka and Australia.
India will play 3 T20Is against Sri Lanka starting from January 5 and will face Australia in 3 ODIs starting from January 14.
Bumrah was out of action since August due to a lower-back stress fracture. He made his last international appearance in the test against West Indies in August 2019 where he claimed 6 wickets in the first innings and 1 wicket in the second.
Shikhar Dhawan returns after recovering from a deep cut to his knee while diving back to the crease in a domestic tournament. Shikhar Dhawan made his last international appearance in the home T20I series against Bangladesh on November 10 at Nagpur.
Rohit Sharma, Shami rested for T20Is, Sanju Samson retains his place in the squad:
Rohit Sharma and Mohammad Shami have been rested for the T20Is against Sri Lanka, while Sanju Samson retains his place in India’s T20I squad.
Kedar Jadhav retains his spot in the ODI squad, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar will not be playing in the ODI squad due to being diagnosed with a groin injury. Navdeep Saini is in for Deepak Chahar who is ruled out from the squad due to a stress fracture to his lower back.
