The owner of the Delhi Capitals (DC) will declare himself as a failure if his franchise will fail to make it in the thirteenth season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) as well. This time, the franchise comprises of many foreign gems such as Alex Carey, Rabada, Marcus Stoinis, and Sandeep Lamachane who will make their side worth winning.
The skipper Shreyas Iyer is preparing and polishing his army as Ricky Ponting and the owner had conversations three weeks before discussing the ways to make it to the playoffs.
If we do not qualify for playoffs, I have failed as a chairman: says DC owner
“Ricky and I had a long discussion about three weeks ago about the targets for this season. We have set ourselves the goal of making it to the playoffs. I personally feel that if Delhi Capitals does not make it to the playoffs, then I as an owner and the chairman of the franchise have failed,” he said while speaking to ESPNCricinfo.
Delhi Capitals (DC), is all set to rock the venues by 20th September. They will be seen in action against Kings XI Punjab under their skipper’s command, Shreyas Iyer.
