Ben Stokes resumes training at Christchurch: IPL 2020

Ben Stokes, the glamoured all-rounder from England, who has been auctioned for the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020), was to miss out on the first half of the season. The player has resumed training in Christchurch that is a sign of his availability in the IPL soon.

The veteran player left Pakistan vs England test matches in midway after his father was diagnosed with brain cancer in Newzealand’s Christchurch.

It could have been a blow for Rajhastan Royals to miss the professional services of Stokes. However, he will be available after some time and no permanent replacement has been revealed yet. The side is super cooperative with him and the allowance of leniency must be pleasing for the player as he can spend quality time with his family.

The player has ended his fourteen-days isolation and will be seeing his father. There are no burdens induced upon him by the franchise and when he feels like, he will fly to Dubai.

The head coach Andrew Mcdonald was so cooperative in the scenario and had granted him massive leniency.

“First and foremost, thoughts with the Stokes family. It’s a difficult scenario, so we are giving him as much time as he needs, and connecting with him as best as we can. So yeah, we are not sure where Stokesy’s right now, but once it has played out, then we can make our decisions from there,” McDonald told ESPNCricinfo.
