The most successful franchise of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Islamabad United, that has won the league twice out of four seasons happened till now sees themselves as the winners for PSL 5 as well.

The owner of the franchise, Ali Naqvi has put all of his confident in his statements and said with a bit surety that they can be the winners this time too.

Recently, the management of the Islamabad United has been featured to the media where Ali Naqvi, the owner of the franchise was asked several questions. Most of them were related to work efficient performances of the team. He replied that the squad comprises with polished skills that can demolish any opponent they will face.

“I think there is enough depth in our squad in all the three departments of the game. Moreover, our coaching panel has the needed experience to guide us well in tough situations. I sit really pleased with all the picks we did in drafts, so now looking forward to PSL 2020,” replied Ali to the questions of journalists.

In short, twenty overs league so far has remained most successful only for the Islamabad United however, Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators have gained the title once. Karachi Kings, Multan Sultans and the second most expensive franchise of PSL whose owner with zero haters most commonly popular by the name “Rana Saab”, Lahore Qalandars are yet to win a single title of the league.

The fifth edition of the PSL is to entirely take place in Pakistan this time as in last seasons, many of the matches were held at UAE due to security reasons. As security is no more the concern, PSL and international cricket have moved their foot back to the national venue. First match of the league will be played between Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United at National Stadium, Karachi followed by an opening ceremony on 20th February, 2020.
