According to the official announcements, Younis Khan will be the mentor of the Pakistan Cricket Team for a longer span. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is inspired by his role and will be extending his role to entertain the team with versatile services.
Earlier, Younis had been appointed as the batting coach of the Men in green for England series. Recently, he winded up the limited-over series against Zimbabwe and is now to behold the duty on the New Zealand tour as well. His duration has been extended till the T20 World Cup 2022.
The contract has been presented to him after Pakistan has winded up the Zimbabwe series in a full-fledged and Pakistan keens to enjoy the services under his mentoring.

“When not traveling with the national side, Younis will be based at the Hanif Mohammad High Performance in Karachi as a batting coach,” the PCB announced in a press release.
PCB CEO Wasim Khan explained that “the feedback we received about Younis’ impact in a short period of time in England was excellent,” adding that “his work ethic, commitment, and knowledge are second to none.
“I am confident that his appointment will benefit a number of talented batsmen who have either recently broken into the national side or are knocking on the door of international cricket.”
Younis Khan has been considered a legend in Pakistan on behalf of his performances, especially in Test cricket. The veteran is known as the most successful Test batsman of Pakistan who crossed 10,000 runs in the format. He made his final appearance in Pakistan Cricket back in 2017 and then bid a farewell after serving exceptionally to his country.
