KXIP, who have lost three out of four matches, can still make it to the playoffs as they hold the terrific opening pair of Rahul-Agarwal. The duo added some exciting runs and notably, they are the only opening pair of the IPL 2020 to register a hundred and a fifty for both.
In their last match against the Mumbai Indians (MI), they collapsed earlier as Rahul and Agarwal could not stay for long on the pitch. However, they were near to victory in the other three matches as they both added some excellency in the beginning.
KL Rahul wants to take off Orange Cap from Mayank Agarwal
“Until and unless that orange cap stays with Kings XI, I’m happy. He’s (Agarwal) worked very hard and deserves that cap. I’m sure I’ll take it off him soon,” said Rahul as quoted by Times Now.
On the other hand, Agarwal believes it does not matter whoever holds the Orange Caps as the team is in UAE to deliver some professionalism in cricket. According to the current cap holder, any of his batting fellows can have the cap.
“We are not competing for the cap, we are just looking to play some good cricket. It doesn’t matter who gets the runs, be it Rahul, Maxwell, Pooran, or anyone else.” Agarwal said.
.@mayankcricket (246 runs) is the current holder of the Orange Cap but his opening partner, friend and captain KL Rahul (239 runs) has his eyes firmly set on the prize! We love the friendly banter ???? ???? #Dream11IPL #KXIPvMI pic.twitter.com/tLO3BWJldo
