West Indies vs India, West Indies beat India in the 1st ODI after chasing a total of 288 runs with ease. India lost KL Rahul and Virat Kohli early in the game. Rohit Sharma, Shreyas Iyer, and wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant brought India back on their feet.
Rohit Sharma scored 36 runs from 56 balls and shared a 55 runs partnership with Shreyas Iyer. Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant also took a stand of 114 runs to set up solid innings for India. Shreyas Iyer scored 70 runs from 88 balls while Rishabh Pant contributed 71 runs from 69 deliveries.

Kedar Jadhav scored 40 runs from 35 balls before he got caught by Kieron Pollard at long-on on Keemo Paul’s delivery. Ravindra Jadeja added 21 runs towards the end before getting run out by Roston Chase. India finished their innings on 287/8. Sheldon Cottrell, Keemo Paul, and Alzarri Joseph took 2 wickets each, while Kieron Pollard secured 1.
West Indies vs India, Hope and Hemyer secure the game for West Indies:
West Indies lost their first wicket on the first ball of the 5th over as Sunil Ambris got lbw by Deepak Chahar after scoring 9 runs. After losing their first wicket, wicketkeeper-batsman Shai Hope and Shimron Hetmyer shared 218 runs partnership to bring victory within West Indies’ arm’s reach.
Shai Hope remained not out after scoring 102 runs from 151 balls, his eighth ODI hundred. Shimron Hetmyer also played a magnificent inning of 139 runs, his career-best, as he scored his 5th ODI hundred. Nicholas Pooran struck 29 runs from 23 balls to seal the game for West Indies as they finished their chase in only 47.5 overs, winning the match by 8 wickets with 13 balls to spare.
