Umesh Yadav is counted among one of the finest pacers across India. Recently, he has not performed up to mark and has failed to make an impression. His performance so far in recent times has not been good in white-ball cricket and the probability of his presence in India’s squad for ICC T20 World Cup is less to an extent.
He chose the best possible playing XI squad for India Cricket Team and revealed what he feels of himself as a member of the player. He, keeping his performance in his mind of recent times and has found fewer probabilities being dissatisfied with himself.
Umesh Yadav said that there will be a competition among Bhuvneshwar and Bumrah. For the third pace place in ICC T20 World Cup’s playing XI, he said there will be tough combat among Deepak Chahar and Mohammad Shami.
“As for the spinners, Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal. Bumrah and Bhuvi will be the fast bowlers and it will be a tough fight for the third spot between Shami and Deepak Chahar. I don’t think I am in contention for that spot,” he said while speaking to Sportskeeda in an Instagram live session.
Surprisingly, he has not chosen any allrounder in his playing XI squad. Umesh did not even choose Hardik Pandya in his squad.
“My T20 XI would have Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, and Shreyas Iyer as the batsmen.
On Dhoni’s selection, he said that it will be up to Dhoni completely if he wants to play or not.
“Then, you have MS Dhoni Bhai. Abhi kya bol sakte hai, unki marzi rahegi toh wo khelenge [We can’t say anything now. If MS Dhoni wants to play for India, he will play]. If MS Dhoni Bhai does not play, then Rishabh Pant,” Umesh Yadav further added.
