Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Shoaib Malik has crossed 10000 T20 runs that have made him the first Pakistani batsman to reach the milestone ever. He touched the feat in Rawalpindi when he playing against Balochistan and is overwhelmed by the record.
Notably, he is the overall third batsman as he has joint the elite list of Chris Gayle (13296) and Keiron Pollard (10370) from West Indies who are the only two international players with more than 10,000 T20 runs.
Malik’s runs are now 10027 averaging over 37 and the 38-year-old is yet to receive more. His record concludes 61 fifties featuring in 394 T20 matches from 2005-2020. However, he is yet to register a ton in the format. Surprisingly, the player has crossed a massive feat without hitting a single hundred.
His side, KPK, ranks second on the points table of the National T20 Cup as both playing xis have combined four wins out of five.
