It has happened the first time in the history of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) that Karachi Kings have qualified for the final. The team faced Multan Sultans in the qualifier round and faced some real thrill in the game.
After they won the toss and elected to field, they had their eyes on 142. As the score leveled, the two struggling teams went for the super over. Luckily, Kings won the super over by 4 runs leaving MS to struggle once more as they will face the winners of Eliminator 1 in Eliminator 2.
PSL 5: Who will face Karachi Kings in the final?
As Eliminator 1 is going on at National Stadium Karachi, Lahore Qalandars, examining the slow pitch, have favored to bowl first. They are trying their depth to win being qualified for another roller coaster before the final.
On the other hand, Peshawar Zalmi are struggling as they have lost three early wickets. However, the middle-order batsmen can drive them to 155+ as analyzed by the current score.
Notably, the skipper in blue-red is looking to play the final against the Sohail Akhtar team as Lahore vs Karachi is always known to get high ratings with the match looking more like India and Pakistan.
“The match between Karachi and Lahore is always big and if we clash in the final, so it would be the icing on the cake,” said Imad.
“But you can’t predict as the other two teams Multan Sultans and Peshawar Zalmi are equally strong to play the final but it would be fun if Karachi takes on Lahore in our home ground,” he added.
