A historical rain-affected Test ends in Draw:
Pakistan vs Sri Lanka, the 1st Test resulted in a draw on Day 5 after 3 of its days were abandoned due to weathering conditions. The final day of the 1st Test brought a lot of smiles on the home crowd’s faces after they finally got a chance to witness their own team in action. The Test will be remembered for years to come as the first Test match in Pakistan’s home grounds after the 2009 incident.

Sri Lanka had scored 282 runs for 6 wickets at the beginning of Day 5. Dhananjaya de Silva scored his 6th Test hundred as Sri Lanka declared their innings on 308/6 on the final day. Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah claimed 2 wickets, while Usman Shinwari and Mohammad Abbas took 2 for their team.

Pakistan lost Shan Masood early into the game without scoring any runs, and skipper Azhar Ali added 36 runs from 81 balls before losing his wicket to Lahiru Kumara.
Abid Ali became the first-ever batsman in the history of cricket to score a hundred in both of their Test and ODI debuts. Abid Ali scored an unbeaten 109 runs for 201 deliveries with 11 fours. Babar Azam also scored his third century after narrowly missing it by 3 runs in his last Test against Australia. Babar Azam remained undefeated after scoring 102 runs from 128 balls after hitting 14 fours.
The play ended after Pakistan had faced 70 overs and scored 252 runs for 2 wickets. Each of the two teams received 20 points in the ICC World Test Championship. Pakistan vs Sri Lanka, the 2nd Test will be played in Karachi starting from December 19.
