Haroon Arshad also lost his wicket after scoring just 3 runs. Hong Kong was 3 down on a total of 51 runs. Opener Nizakat Khan stood out with his 31 runs off 33 balls for a four and a six. Aamir Kaleem dismissed Nizakat Khan in the 11th over of the match. Waqas Barkat made 19 runs off 15 balls but the rest of Hong Kong’s batting line up could not go past single digits.
Wicketkeeper-batsman Scott McKechnie made 3, Simandeep Singh scored 8, Shahid Wasif contributed 4, Ehsan Khan struck 4, Nasrulla Rana remained not out with 5, and Kyle Christie got run out on the last ball of the match after scoring 2 runs. Hong Kong went from 51/3 to 102 all out, losing 7 wickets in the process.

Their bowlers did a great job restricting Hong Kong to just 102 runs but it was now on their batsmen to win the match for their team. Oman sent Khawar Ali and Jatinder Singh to bat first. Khawar Ali and Jatinder Singh shared a partnership of 31 runs before Khawar Ali lost his wicket after scoring 15 runs off 23 balls.
Jatinder Singh followed Khawar Ali after scoring 23 runs off 17 balls with 4 fours. Oman was 2 down for 42 runs at the beginning of the 8th over. Aamir Kaleem, who took 3 wickets for 14 runs against Hong Kong, lost his own wicket on a duck after wasting 6 balls.
Aqib Ilyas and Oman’s captain Zeeshan Maqsood batted sensibly and achieved the target with 17.3 overs. Aqib Ilyas remained not out after scoring 37 runs off 33 balls after hitting 4 fours. Oman’s Amir Kaleem was awarded the “Player of the Match” for his outstanding performance with the ball, where he took 3 wickets for 14 runs in his 4 overs for his team on his birthday.
