The head coach of the Australian Cricket Team, Justin Langer, has said that there is no better league than the Indian Premier League (IPL) to practice for ICC T20 World Cup 2020.
Justin Langer thinks that for his side, Australia, IPL is the only platform that will work as a practice for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2020.
“Before this crisis started to unravel, we were absolutely determined for our guys to play the IPL. Because with the ICC T20 World Cup 2020 coming up, there’s no better grounding, no better practice, no better tournament for them to get ready for that,” Langer was quoted as saying in foxsports.co.au.
They are the Australians who despite COVID-19 are ready to participate in IPL. Australian batsman, David Warner of Sun Risers Hyderabad from IPL, earlier revealed that despite COVID-19 fears globally, he will be geared up for the Indian Premier League (IPL) in case if it goes ahead.
Earlier, it was confirmed that IPL will go ahead behind closed doors because of COVID-19 health concerns. Later, it was called-off indefinitely by cricket authorities of India. The BCCI, however, have made preparations probable to drag IPL normally by April 15th, rest is still based on the circumstances.
