The left-handed batsman, Khudshil Shah, has sustained a fracture on the thumb of his left hand during the practice sessions at Derby on Saturday during batting.
The player has been ruled out of the national squad for the next three weeks. Consequently, the player will be missing the first test against England that is to be kicked off by 5th August.

“As the nail is intact and there is no injury to nail bed, the orthopaedic surgeon, team physician and team physiotherapist expect Khushdil to resume physical training by the end of the next week.” as release by the PCB.
As there is no injury on the nail bed, the player can resume training by the end of the next week.
The sides will be featuring in three test matches that are to be played at Old Trafford, Ageas Bowl, and Ageas Bowl respectively, whereas, the three T20Is will be played at Old Trafford.
It has been decided that the series will be resumed behind closed doors to avoid the spreading of the Coronavirus
