India’s skipper, Virat Kohli has confirmed his unavailability for the remainder of the India vs Australia series after the first test. The father to be to have to take care of his wife, Anushka Sharma, who will b delivering their first child.
The Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) has granted him leave for his paternal matters and has chosen Rohit Sharma as his replacement for the test matches. Sharma, who suffered a hamstring injury during the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020), has been given green signals assured of his health as he captained his team in the qualifier 1 round.
Notably, the Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper missed four matches of the ongoing cash-rich league that were led by Kieron Pollard.
