Sachin Tendulkar, one of the greatest batsmen in the history of cricket and the most exquisite Indian captain, has revealed his donation of Rs 50 Lakhs to Coronavirus relief fund for surfers and victims of the lockdown of need due to Coronavirus spreading day by day to a larger scale.
Out of these 50 Lakhs, half of the amount has been contributed towards the chief minister’s relief fund
Tendulkar’s donation so far is the largest in the amount among all the sportspersons in India. Some have pledged a little amount of their wage, and some have donated necessary pieces of equipment and foods. Some have given medical pieces of equipment that were lessened in the country due to rising cases, and almost 24,000 have been reported till yet due to finishing pieces of equipment and resources.
“Sachin Tendulkar decided to contribute Rs 25 lakh each to Prime Minister’s Relief Fund and Chief Minister’s Relief Fund in his bid to join the fight against COVID-19. He decided that he wanted to contribute to both funds,” a source privy to the development, told on conditions of anonymity.
Also, the other several Indian players have contributed according to their wealth for the sake of their country. Ms. Dhoni, Gautam Gambhir, Virat Kohli, and individuals of the Sri Lankan Cricket Team are on the top of the list.
Being contrary to Indian, many other players for their respective countries have pledged for overcoming lockdown crises as it is more suffering for poor and daily wage earners.
