Chris Green suspended for illegal bowling action

Chris Green suspended for illegal bowling action:

26-years-old off-spinner, Chris Green has been suspended from bowling due to illegal bowling action during Big Bash League (BBL) by Cricket Australia.

Chris Green represents Sydney Thunder in the BBL. Green was signed up for 6 seasons of BBL by Sydney Thunder. He was reported by on-field umpires Nathan Johnstone, Mike Graham-Smith and third umpire Paul Wilson following the match between Sydney Thunders and Melbourne Stars at the Sydney Showground Stadium on January 2.

Cricket Australia’s Head of Cricket Operations, Peter Roach said: “We’d like to commend Chris and the Thunder for the way they have approached this process with complete cooperation and respect. Chris undertook testing at the earliest possible time and satisfactorily replicated his bowling action in the controlled environment. We look forward to working with Chris in the coming months and conducting further testing once the suspension period has elapsed.”

Chris Green will not be able to take part in any Cricket Australia competition for 90 days with immediate effect. He will be allowed to get his bowling action tested again after the 90-day duration has elapsed. However, he will still be allowed to play solely as a batsman for Thunder.
